Which tiles are most expensive?
The most expensive tiles are porcelain and natural stone tiles. The special glazes used and the higher firing temperature required creates a very strong, less porous tile. Porcelain tiles can be used in any domestic or commercial project.

What is natural stone?
The term natural stone refers to any tile or paver made using naturally occuring quarry-cut stone, including sandstone, limestone, granite, marble, travertine, shell stone, and slate. Quarry stone is then cut into tile sizes. The top is finished as requested, such as honed, polished or brushed. Natural stone generally requires a greater level of care during the laying process.

Is natural stone suitable for wet areas?
Yes, natural stone is suitable for wet areas. It can be found in many bathrooms around the world and pool surrounds.

Are different grouts and adhesives used for different tiles?
Yes, depending on what tile is being used, its weight and size, and of course where it's being laid. Depending on the manufacturer and nature of the natural stone appropriate adhesives should be used.

How thick should a tile adhesive bed be?
Depending on the size and type of tile and whether it is being laid on the floor or wall, thickness will vary greatly for each application.
